Oval (England):
Pakistan were disappointed when they lost the match against England by seven wickets in the fourth T20 match, but captain Babar Azam ensured that they would have something to celebrate by scoring 36 runs. The Pakistan captain achieved several achievements and joined Virat Kohli in the exclusive list of batsmen to score 4000 T20I runs.
Babar has become the second batsman in the world after Virat Kohli to do so. Coming into the match, the right-handed batsman had scored 3987 runs and was 13 runs away from completing 4000 runs. The 29-year-old smashed a full Jordan delivery through the cover region in the fourth over and joined the race for the record with boundaries. Babar is chasing Kohli in terms of most runs in T20Is and there will be a tough competition between the two to become the highest run-scorer in this format by scoring consecutive runs.
He also became the first player in the world to score 2500 runs in T20Is as captain. He currently has 2520 runs in 81 matches. Babar also left Kohli behind in terms of scoring the most runs in T20I against England by scoring 660 runs at a strike rate of 141.
Pakistan lost the match as they could score only 157 runs while batting first but the opposition team achieved it in the span of 15.3 overs. With this victory, England won the four-match series 2-0 and both the teams will have their eyes on the T20 World Cup starting from June 2.
