Smriti Mandhana recently recalled her first interesting impression of Shreyanka Patil and said that she has found another Jamie.
Patil, who made her debut for India against England, has earlier played with Mandhana for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL).
Comparing her friendly relationship with Jemimah Rodrigues, Mandhana drew similarities between Rodrigues and Patil and described both of them as jovial in nature.
“When I first saw you at RCB in WPL, I told Jamie (Jemimah) that I have found another Jamie because both of you are very jovial and keep the dressing room cheerful. These roles are very important in a team environment. One Jamie was enough for me and now I have two with the same problems (smiles). But you guys have helped us understand that it is also important to enjoy the game,” she said in a BCCI video.
Mandhana stressed the importance of such vibrant personalities in the team environment and how they contribute to creating a positive atmosphere.
